2015 • Yosemite, The Waterfall Valley
Took over 2,500 photographs while there... and because I am my harshest critic.... I picked 50 from the collection that I was proud of.
These are a few that made the cut.
I normally opt for black-and-white photography, I began to edit these RAW files as black-and-white photos until a voice in my head said:
"Try color..."
For this particular sequence , I stood on a landing over looking what I can only describe as one of the most beautiful settings I've ever laid my eyes on.
Taken with a Canon 6D, I used a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS with a Tiffen polarizing filter for this series of shots.
The first image was taken at 128 mm 100 ISO.
I focused on the waterfalls, change the ISO to 50, then slowly pulled back the zoom until the final photograph, which was taken at 30mm, to show the scope of the entire landscape...as much as my lens would allow.
This is the result.
Used Adobe Lightroom, as it is my tool of choice, and used the gradient filter for the clouds and sky as I begin to pull back the zoom.
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Each moment is a gift.
Leave your mark.
